Sarah approaches therapy from a place of compassion and acceptance. She believes in the power of safe, trusting relationships to create change and that authentically expressing oneself is key to healing. She will work with you to explore your patterns and create a deeper connection with yourself and others.
Sarah has four years of experience working with children and families in an outpatient setting. Before that, she worked with children, teenagers, and their parents in their homes for two years. Sarah has expertise working with children and teenagers with special needs and families with children on the autism spectrum.
Sarah has a special interest in working with women who struggle with mental health concerns that accompany autoimmune disease, hormone imbalance, and other physical health challenges. Sarah is also interested in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational conflicts, life transitions, and generally high levels of stress. Sarah offers the Prepare/Enrich Assessment to couples wanting pre-marital counseling.
Sarah lived in Venezuela and speaks Spanish. She loves working with the Latino community as well as with children, adolescents, and adults from all different backgrounds. Sarah is a strong ally to the LGBTQ community. In her personal life, Sarah likes to cook and practices yoga. She is passionate about understanding the mind-body connection and loves to integrate mindfulness into her work with clients.
