I hold a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. My primary goal is to make therapy a safe, collaborative space where choice and possibility are the most important pieces of our relationship. My approach is grounded in the idea that people are the experts of their own lives and that they can access and develop knowledge that will assist them in getting in front of their problems. Additionally, I work from a non-pathologizing, strength-based model of psychotherapy. I view people as full of possibilities, rather than pathology. As a result, I do not locate problems within the individual, but rather, within the culture that surrounds us.
I have experience working with children, adults, and groups, and hold a special interest in working with teens, young adults, couples and the LGBTQ+ community. I support those wanting relief from anger, depression, anxiety, hopelessness, relationship challenges, loss, trauma as well as those navigating career and life transitions.
I work primarily from a model of psychotherapy which assumes that you have a great deal of influence over the stories in your life. My work is aimed at freeing you to choose the values and experiences that matter most to you.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring nature, watching movies and spending time with my husband, two dogs and adorable son.
I remember one morning getting up at dawn. There was such a sense of possibility. You know, that feeling. And I remember thinking to myself: So this is the beginning of happiness, this is where it starts. And of course there will always be more...never occurred to me it wasn't the beginning. It was happiness. It was the moment, right then.”
