As a therapist, I believe a compassionate approach and trusting relationship is essential to achieving growth. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families and am passionate about helping clients reach their goals. I work with individuals of all ages with special areas of interest including trauma, life transitions, relationship conflict, premarital counseling, and couples contemplating separation or divorce. I have found that a genuine and compassionate therapeutic style can assist clients in finding courage within themselves to navigate all of life’s trials and successes.
I work with individuals to assist in the areas of depression, anxiety, grief, stress, relationship concerns, and trauma. Together we create a safe environment to allow space to explore underlying patterns and road blocks and to inspire healing. I utilize the tools of self-compassion, mindfulness, and Accelerated Resolution therapy (ART) to assist clients with these challenges. Additional approaches are integrated into sessions to best meet each client’s individual needs.
Using an Emotional Focused Therapy and attachment-based approach, I work with couples who are wanting to resolve conflict, improve communication skills, and develop a deeper sense of trust and commitment within their relationship. I also work with couples who are planning for major life events such as a marriage, raising children together, or contemplating separation. Relationships can be especially challenging with additional family demands. I work with couples to improve effective co-parenting, resolve past hurts, and explore different techniques that are effective in parenting children with challenging behaviors.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, spending time with family and my goldendoodle, and traveling.
